CYPPA Cyprus Professional Photographer Association was founded in 1987 by nine leading professional photographers with a view to protecting and promoting the best interests of professional photographers in Cyprus and the society as a whole.

The primary goal of the Association was the creation of a body that would represent the professional photographers and would provide them with the opportunity to exchange views and discuss matters related to the profession of photographer but also matters with regards to the development of the art of photography in Cyprus. Throughout its history, the Association has managed to become chief advocate of professional photographers in Cyprus and to represent them in matters related to the profession of photographer.

With the technological revolution in the field of photography and modern methods of business management, the Association has developed and expanded its services to its members, by establishing educational programs for innovation, upgrading and enhancing competitiveness and continuous development of the profession of photographer.

Leading professional photographers in new horizons, the Association continues to contribute to the continuous creation of economic conditions that encourage the business for the benefit of its members and the society as a whole.
